It’s Halloween, so MAG wanted to see what spooky things brands have been up to in the industry!

Heinz released black garlic mayo, launching in time for Halloween celebrations this year, the new flavour is available to buy exclusively in Asda stores for just £2 a squeezy bottle.

 

Katharina Kern, Brand Manager at Heinz, said, “We’re feeling extra spooky here at Heinz with the launch of our devilishly delicious [Scarily] Good Black Garlic Mayo and we can’t wait for our Heinz fans to experience a spooktacular new creation this Halloween.” 

Krispy Kreme has also unveiled a new range of doughnuts for the occasion, including three brand-new flavours. We're talking everything from Undead Neds – zombie-esque, gooey chocolate filled doughnuts, to Wrapped-Up Ritas – mummy-inspired, Biscoff doughnuts and Spooky Sprinkles and original doughnuts with orange dipped icing and sprinkles.

Lush's new Halloween collection also arrived, and it's loaded with limited-edition bath and body-care items guaranteed to make spooky season even more fun. From pumpkin-shaped bath bombs and seasonally appropriate scented masks to "shower slime" . There are 31 products overall!

Diving deeper into the Halloween brand activation sphere, Chipotle is tapping gen Z on BeReal to participate in its longest-running tradition, the Boorito, which has made its return to restaurants for the first time since 2019, and to celebrate its return to stores, the Boorito is also making its debut in BeReal in the first-ever ‘BooReal’ sweepstakes. The sweepstakes will give users a chance to win one of ‘10 Free Burritos for a Year’ prizes. To enter, users must post a photo on BeReal of themselves in costume at a Chipotle restaurant on October 31 along with the #booritosweepstakes hashtag, or share their BeReal to their Instagram Stories, tag @Chipotle and add #booritosweepstakes.

 

On the other side of your phone- Snapchatters can virtually dress up as characters from their all-time favourite TV shows and movies, including Hocus Pocus 2, Chucky, Ghostbusters, Stranger Things, Power Rangers, Transformers, The Office and Harry Potter. If users like what they see, they can purchase the costume via the lens, directly within the app.

By these brands changing up their original and well-known products, it will encourage loyalty amongst returning customers but also pique interest from new- besides, it’s all spooky fun!
