Welcome to another week of the latest industry news. Enjoy!

Sponsorships:

Rightmove, the UK’s largest property website is partnering with ITV for a sponsorship deal on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, which sees it appear in various forms during and around the show. In 2021, the first episode of the series was viewed by a peak of 8.1 million viewers. Rightmove will be hoping for similar figures this season.

Rightmove’s ‘This Is It’ advert – created by Fold7 – will be used to create a number of new idents for the program to open and close each episode. The creative will also appear on either side of each ad break.

In addition to the ads, Rightmove will feature in the famous ‘Win The Ads’ segment of the program. That segment sees one audience member given the chance to answer questions about the week’s news, with every correct answer relating to a prize on the board – this series will include representation from Rightmove.

Rightmove’s branding will also be available to see in both the live and streamed content of the show.

Campaigns:

Pringles are releasing a multi-grain range, and the short spot begins with a group of friends enjoying a snack on the couch when one of them comments that the new Pringles offerings are ‘wonderfully different,’ like the group’s pet hamster. Standing inside his glass cage, the furry fella puts on a dramatic techno show, complete with a keyboard and stage lights.

To coincide with the video ad, there will also be hamster-sized gig posters fly posted across London to tease the campaign. The ad will run on TV, video-on-demand, online video and social media channels in the UK until March 15.

Google rivals ChatCPT:

Google has stolen the limelight from ChatGPT with another artificially intelligent (AI) chat tool: Bard.  With speculation building that ChatGPT could replace search engines in the near future, and with it’s success, Google was going to respond sooner or later. The answer arrived in the form of Bard, Google’s own take on an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered chat engine that rivals ChatGPT in every way. Google says Bard will be particularly helpful for queries that can have multiple different answers, none of which are necessarily right or wrong.
